从农历大年初一到十五，东北小伙林元经历的喜怒与哀愁。男主角和母亲去寺庙烧香拜佛，跟女友琪琪在雪地上约会郊游，去拜访患有阿尔兹海默症的启蒙恩师，与准丈母娘因礼金而争执，或是被远房大哥要求帮忙办事，又或者曾经的邻家大姐好心的赠与，还有年迈的爷爷拿出积攒的养老金对其援助。所有的一切都发生在春天刚开始的时刻，这或许不是林元一个人的遭遇或处境，因为从古至今许多诗人都描绘过同样的场景与内心，无论时间和空间怎样的变化，都依然会感到春心荡兮始波，春愁乱兮如雪，兼万情之悲欢，兹一感于芳节。
